If you live in Lawrence, and have not yet tried the fried chicken dinner at Wheatfield's, you are missing a true gem of this town. Made only on Wednesday nights, it is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. They sell out super fast, so if you want to try it, you'll have to get there early. They were completely sold out when we left at 6:15.
It's a little piece of southern comfort in the midwest that makes my tummy and heart happy. :)
